5 Stars one of my favorite games and at a great price
the final fantasy series is my favorite game series always a great story line and always fun
5 Stars Must-play rpg
if you missed out on this game back in 1999 then you gotta buy this game. fantastic story, unique junction system and Squall the badass! what more could you want? if you like rpg’s or final fantasy in general, buy it.
5 Stars Great Game, Fast Service.. One Problem…
I was very satisfied about ordering this product. It arrived quickly and was cheaper. I only have one issue with the service though; I bought two of them and both were Greatest Hits versions but the display is clearly the black label. Kind of false advertising but I guess its ok. Thanks for the fast service though.
4 Stars Good and underrated
I don’t really understand why some people absolutely hate this game and being an RPG fan myself, I thought it was quite good. Yes there ARE a few things about it I didn’t like, but it didn’t really ruin the game for me.
Pros: -Good music, it sets the mood quite well.
-Story is deep and takes a few twists here and there and its downright cool
-Cut scenes, FF7 had good cut scenes, but this game seems to have polished them even more and some of them just kick ass
– Junction system, while FF7 had the materia system, FF8 had the junction system. At first it may seem a bit complex, but its quite good once you get hang of it.
– Limit breaks, dear lord this game has some of the best I have ever seen! Ranging from awesome combos, to using enemy attacks, this is one of the stronger points of the game.
Cons: While there were some good things there are also a few things that I didn’t like.
-Characters, this is a weird one, maybe not even a con, since some of the characters are hit-and-miss. Zell, I personally liked, some of the others were kinda shallow, but the big one everyone talks about is Squall and how he’s the biggest emo in the face of videogaming. Part of that is true. Squall is the brooding hero type and is sort of meant to be kind of depressing, but it does seem to be a little excessive at times. However, it does fit the story quite well.
– Random battles, the seemed to happen too often. Its hard to find a balance of not too many battles, and just enough so you don’t have to spend 5 hours leveling up.
– Magic, this was a downer for me since I’ve played previous games. While it is nice to get the spell when you find it(meaning you can get super powerful ones in certain spots), it’s also its downfall. You only get a small amount of each spell from the draw point and you have to wait until it restocks, then go back and get some more. While there are abilities you can get from GF’s to refine magic from items, its still better to have MP and just learn it.
– Animation, the GF animations kick ass, but get repetitive after awhile, but they deal out massive damage so you kinda need them.
That’s about the main points that I wanted to cover. If you’ve come off from FF7, this game may come off as a bit of a disappointment, but still, its a good game.
5 Stars Awesome Game
This is the best PS1 game I have ever played. I have spent over 100 hundred hours playing FF8. The graphics are good the game play is great. This might be an old game now and there are games with better graphics but this is still my all timie favorite game.

5 Stars Great game, but it is misleading!
Everyone knows this game is great, so there is no point to me rambling on about it as well.
What I do want to say is that the “Game of the Year” packaging might imply to some that you are getting bonus material such as the extra down-loadable maps, as they did in the first run production of the “Game of the Year” edition. But this is not true, the only difference is the fact that it’s called the Game of the Year edition. So that is kind of lame, and kind of prey’s on consumers expectation.
5 Stars COD 4
Little late to the party as I played COD 5 before 4…Missed alot though. COD 4 is by far one of the best shooters I’ve played. Online community is fun, game play is great, and overall it’s really just a great game that could keep you entertained for hours
5 Stars great game, but……
Great game, but would rather have seen Army Special Forces instead of the British SAS and Ranger Battalion instead of the Marines. Both are superior forces.
4 Stars CoD4 – Whicked Game!
This game was absolutley cool to play! My only real criticism though – would be that the storyline could’ve stretched on a little further! Seemed to get through it all a little too quickly… The gameplay is absolutely SUPERB – without any question! The backgrounds, the storyline is consistant with the CoD-series, but expands greatly on the level of quality and detail!
I waited a long time for this title, as I refused to pay such a high price for a new release game. Thankfully Amazon offered a price too good to refuse…
Once I fought my way through the levels, I have been playing in arcade mode – which is okay for quick game-play, selecting specific missions to work at…
I would thoroughly recommend this game to any FPS fan! CoD fans will NOT be disappointed! I hope they keep the same format for any upcoming releases!
4 Stars Excellent Fun!
Excellent game… Best of all is the fun you get while playing online!
Great graphics and realistic in the interactions.
The only thing, (I think) this version can be improved is the way you are spotted when you shoot as a sniper… I think only enemies really close to you should be able to see you in their radar… Actually every time you shoot, even if you are really far away, every enemy can see you. Not close to reality here.
I used to play airsoft, and my favorite way of playing is ambush “hiding and hitting” once and again… This is not possible in COD 4.

5 Stars probably the best game for the DS
I was so excited when I got this game! When I got it I thought it was exactly like Diamond version but then got to see that it was MUCH better! For you Pokemon lovers that have watched the movie Guarantina and the Sky Warrior thinking you would probably get to the reverse world but you have to first get 7 gym badges. Also a big shout out to you Pokemon lovers — this game is awesome!
What I really like is that there are so many Pokemon to catch and that it has so many other things that the Diamond version did not have. Some of the Pokemon gym obstacles are different from the Diamond version.
5 Stars Love this Pokemon game!
My 7 year old loves this game. He started playing it a little before he turned 7 and has always loved it. I actually like to play it too. I plan to order a few more Pokemon games for him for Christmas since he loves it so much and it’s such a cute, interesting game. Also, I like the fact that when the Pokemon battle, they just faint, they don’t get killed. Highly recommended.
5 Stars GR8 SERVICE
The service and quick response were great!! The game came MUCH quicker than I thought it would-well packed and in super condition. Will use this seller again definetly!!!
5 Stars pokemon platinum
this is a pretty fun game. i still haven’t beaten it yet. this is a good game for anybody who likes rpg’s. i can’t think of anything else to say, only you need to buy this game.
5 Stars Useful for the money spent.. my 6 yrs old loves it..
Very good game. Sometimes my 6 yrs old (even myself) can’t figure out the next step – little tougher. But my son loves to play.

You’d think years of defeat would get to a guy, but Bowser just doesn’t give up! He’s captured Mario and his friends in his pursuit of a crystal that the group collected when it fell from the sky, and he doesn’t hesitate to shrink them to miniature size to get rid of them and get his hands on the other four crystals. The mini-heroes have to find the crystals before he does, making their way through giant environments filled with enormous creatures. The single-player campaign takes place in five different settings, each of them ending with a boss. As usual, players have to collect coins and stars, at the same time escaping dangers such as Piranha Plants and other classic creatures from the Mario universe. As they progress through the game, players also can unlock various mini-games, such as Rail Riders, Sweet Sleuth and Goomba Wrangler! When players are tired of exploring the story mode, they can choose one of the other modes, like Puzzle and Minigame. Play with up to four friends on the DS’ local Wi-Fi and let the party begin! 3 Stars Better on the Wii
This is a super fun game with lots to do the only drawback is that, Mario Party is much more fun with more than 2 people playing. There are only a few different boards to play on and its quite simple to play but it isn’t the same fun. Nonetheless its a great play if you don’t have a wii.
5 Stars Love it!
I am fairly new to video games in general. The DS is the first game system I’ve ever owned (for about 2 months now), and this is my first review. Other games I have/enjoy are The New Super Mario Bros., Animal Crossing, Professor Layton, Mario Kart, Brain Age, and so on.
I really love this game! I feel like it gives an even mix of button/stylus use, which I really like. It’s impossible to get bored, because there are so many options of what to do, not only while on the menu (story mode, multiplayer mode, etc.), but also within the game. The minigames vary in nature and technique, keeping me interested. Also, tying in fun of regular board games is a great plus.
I play it mostly on single player mode, as my boyfriend is always busy with his new wii, but I found that multi-player mode is really great as well.
I know there are reviews on here that are more detailed and from more video game knowledgeable people than me, but I hope that this review is helpful to someone, perhaps someone as unfamiliar with v-games as I was. In short, let me put it this way – Mario Party DS is the first video game I have liked so much that I felt compelled to write a review and spread the word!
Go get it and enjoy it!
3 Stars OKay alone better with friends.
If you’ve played other Mario Party games this is very similar. Just like those other Mario Party games this one is best with people to play it with. I simply played the single player to unlock the extra board so it could be played multiplayer. But if you have even one other person with a DS and you both like Mario Party, I’d say go for it, it’s fun.
5 Stars Granddaughter loves it!
The seller was very prompt in sending this game that I bought on Amazon and my granddaughters love playing it on their DS.
1 Star Mario Party ds – Worst Mario game ever made!
Hello I’m an autistic adult gamer.
This is my review on Mario Party ds.
I rented this game from my local library for free for 3 week’s. The storyline was cute but when it came to actual gameplay I couldn’t figure it out. Glad I rented this game & didn’t waste no money on it.
Do your self a favor save your money don’t waste your cash on this game.
BlazBlue Calamity Trigger Standard Edition

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger by Aksys Games is a 2D one-on-one fighting game, which features an original cast (including many weapon fighters) and uses a four-button control scheme (weak, medium and strong attacks plus an EX button which makes your character perform unique special attacks). The fighting system is based around the ability continue combos when opponents are in a down state. On the defensive side, you’ll have a number of ways of getting back up when down, so combo attacks don’t pummel you. BlazeBlue employs the Type X2 arcade board and mixes 3D characters and 3D backdrops.

5 Stars Engaging and Challenging Fighting Game
Well done game. Tight fighting system, responsive controls. Match lobby system could use a little work. If you like Guilty Gear (particularly XX, not Isuka), you’ll really get into this game.
5 Stars You like fighting games? Get this game!
I already reviewed the Limited Edition of this game but I believe this game is so great I had to review it again. First of all thank heavens for Street Fighter IV. Because of the success of that game, (yeah, go get that one too if you haven’t already), the 2-D fighting genre has been revitalized. Anyway, back to the review, there are many elements to BlazBlue that make it such a great fighter. So if you wanna know why I gave this game 5 stars, read on!
First thing is the diverse cast of characters. Each character in BlazBlue plays completely different. In some games, if you’ve mastered one character, you’ve mastered half of them. This is not the case here. Aksys accomplishes this with an interesting mechanic called the Drive System. Each character’s drive can be performed by simply pressing a button. This simple action opens up a wealth of possibilities. For one character, it enables you to freeze them. Another character’s drive allows them to control the wind, giving you further control over your movements and even your projectiles movements. Yet another’s character’s will drain their opponents life and… well…you get the picture! You WILL find a character you fall in love with! I play mainly with the general who freezes and the kid vampire who controls wind. Which brings me to another point. Not only do the characters play differently they LOOK completely different too. The characters designs are completely over the top, thought not in a way which will repulse you. You do have some insane characters though. There is a scientist whose degenerated into a goo of insects, an asian doctor with huge boobs, a cat girl, and so on. Really the character designers had no problem thinking out of the box.
The second reason I love this game are the fighting mechanics themselves. BlazBlue does a couple of things to further differentiate itself from other games in it’s genre. First, there is the combo system. Unlike SFIV, which to me felt like most of the combos were scripted, Blue’s combo system encourages expirementation. Each combo relies on a stun value each hit produces. If you can get another move out before the character recovers, then you can create a combo. If you hit a character and create a “counter”, which the game will announce, then the stun value is extended even more, letting you create some other combos not otherwise possible. Although there are some bread and butter combos, I was able to come up with some pretty awesome combos on my own, including some which takes more than half damage. I also enjoyed Blue’s defense system. Instead of just holding back, you have the option of adding a barrier, which pushes back your opponents from you. You can also hit back at the moment an opponent attacks you. This gives you a shorter recovery time, allowing for some counters. And finally you have the barrier burst. The barrier burst drains all your barrier gauge, but stops any combo and pushes your opponent across the screen. This is very handy for stopping those insanely damaging combos, but leaves you in a “danger” state where you can no longer use your barrier, and you take about 25% more damage for the rest of the match.
The graphics in this game are simply phenomenal, and will appeal to those who appreciate anime and just great art in general. The characters are all high res 2-D sprites and beautifully animated. The backgrounds are combination of 2-D and 3-D and look great. As far as the music, many people have fallen in love with blue’s soundtrack but apart from a few numbers, was mostly forgettable for me. As long as it didn’t distract from the game, I was good. I did enjoy the sound effects though.
Finally, BlazBlue excels in it’s online component. There is occasional lag but this is mostly limited to the introduction of each match. The actual matches themselves are almost flawless. Blue also lets you record your matches, and download other user’s matches. A cool thing is that these are not huge video files. I believe it works by the game recording all the controller inputs, and then replaying them, thus effectively recreating the match. I’m not sure if this has been done before but I thought this was pretty clever, since this takes a minimal amount of space in your hard drive.
Wow, I could go on and on and on but I would easily double the length of this review. Blaz has multiple game modes, it looks great, and most importantly, it’s just plain fun! Do yourself a favor and buy this game! Highly recommended!
4 Stars Not anything like Guilty Gear!
I stayed away from this game cause it was the same makers of the guilty gear seris and I played every one of them and have the blisters and headache to prove it. The first thing I notice is that the learning curve in Blazblu is based on the characters and not the AI. Also to pull off some of the more diffcult moves have been reduced greatly. And the action has been dialed all the way up. There has been some serious balance in the game. Bottomline is all the problems that made the gulity gear series hard to play or even hanging on to has been fixed in this game. And one thing that I notice that was a huge surprise was that when I was fighting the final character I didn’t feel “cheated” the way I did in guilty gear. Look I’m not bashing guilty gear in no way if anything that series made me a better fighter in street fighter and KOF. But this title is what happens when you take what works and what doesn’t and fix it. Not just repackage it with a few fixed bugs and paint job. Bottomline get this title you will not be disappointed in it. BTW! The reason I picked it up my cousin told me that it was alot better and after playing this title I feel this is a strong contender aganist SF4 in 2d fighters. KOF just fell off for me.
